Orange (Mécanique) (Sans)-Culottes

L'arrivée de l'Automne a provoqué chez moi une soudaine appétence pour les teintes orangées, quelle nuance plus en harmonie avec la nature et donc de saison me direz-vous, mais pas seulement. J'ai très envie également d'associer voire de contraster des nuances diamétralement opposées sur le spectre des couleurs, comme pour la tenue qui nous occupe aujourd'hui mêlant orange et bleu vif,  et ceci pourrait bien marquer le début d'une nouvelle monomanie vestimentaire chez moi! ;) Je ne renonce pas pour autant au mélange d'imprimés, comme vous pouvez le constater, pour le moment. Les contraires s'attirent a t-on coutume de dire, je dirais qu'ils se complètent très bien à tout le moins. Au delà du clin d’œil à l'oeuvre de Stanley Kubrick,  et outre le nom que porte ce modèle de pantalon en anglais, la référence historique du titre de mon billet a été inspirée par la réflexion enthousiaste d'une collègue qui a vu dans les rayures l'imprimé des célèbres révolutionnaires! ;)

With the arrival of  Autumn, I've felt a sudden appetite for orange hues, and you could tell me no other colour is more in harmony with nature and so seasonal right now, but not only that. I also strongly want to pair and even clash shades that are diametrically opposite on the colour spectrum, as with today's outfit that mixes orange and bright blue, and this could set the beginning of a new fashion monomania for me! ;) Still I'm not giving up on the mix of prints yet,as you can see. It is usually argued that opposites attract, I'd say that they are complementary at least. Apart from the nod to Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece, the historical reference of the title of this post - besides the term for these pants -was inspired  by the enthusiastic comment of a colleague who recognized in the stripes the print of the famous 1789 revolutionaries! ;)
