Stars, Stripes and... Checks!

Les Etats-Unis me passionnent et me fascinent depuis ma plus tendre enfance et c'est en quelque sorte un hommage à la célèbre bannière étoilée que je rends aujourd'hui en mélangeant étoiles et rayures. Il était d'ailleurs plus que temps de porter ce ravissant pantalon acheté il y y a près de deux ans et dont je n'ai ôté l'étiquette que tout récemment... Le pull a quelques années de bons et loyaux services au compteur, je possède le même en version carbone, et le manteau appartient à la collection Hiver 2014 de Zara mais reste également plus que tendance. On peut le percevoir comme un clin d’œil au drapeau de notre chère Albion, auquel cas l'Union Jack a pour mérite de réunir les deux côtés de l'Atlantique et porte bien son nom! ;) Rien de neuf donc, encore moins en ce qui concerne mes Stan Smith, mais un mélange audacieux qui fait naître une certaine harmonie visuelle à partir d'un contraste d'imprimés qui pourraient sonner chaotique en théorie tout du moins.

I have been fascinated by and passionate about the United States since my early childhood and this mixing stars and stripes is a kind of tribute to the Star-Spangled Banner. It was more than time to wear these gorgeous pants I bought nearly two years ago and which still had their tag on until recently... The sweater has years of good and loyal service, I own the black version too, and the coat - from Zara Winter 2014 collection - is still very much on trend; You can see it as a nod to our dear Albion flag, in which case the Union Jack has the merit of bringing together both sides of the Atlantic and is really aptly named! ;) There's nothing new then, and even less so as regards my Stan Smith, but a bold mix that brinngs out a certain visual harmony out of a clash of prints that could sound chaotic, in theory at least.
