The Cropped Grey Pants Challenge

Rien ne me stimule davantage en matière de mode que de réussir à apprivoiser et à porter des vêtements à l'apparence peu accommodante. Probablement parce que ces mêmes pièces représentent un défi et nous obligent à renouveler notre style et à sortir de la routine et de notre zone de confort. J'étais au départ plutôt partagée quant à ce pantalon. J'ai immédiatement aimé sa coupe si particulière, sa couleur, ses détails en relief et l'ourlet dentelle mais je n'arrivais pas à visualiser clairement avec quoi le porter. La solution est venue des chaussures! ;) En les recevant, j'ai en effet pensé que leur teinte réveillerait celle du pantalon et appellerait un haut de la même nuance. En plein retour de la tendance années 70, mes blouses ne m'ont jamais autant fait de l’œil, or l'imprimé de celle-ci flatte particulièrement bien le gris perle du bas. L'harmonie est parfois dans le détail! Une paire de chaussettes gris métallisé et je peux sans tarder porter ces merveilles de style d'ores et déjà en bravant les saisons! ;)

There's nothing more stimulating for me fashion wise than managing to tame and wear seemingly not very accommodative clothes. Probably because these very same pieces  represent a challenge and force us to renew our style, get out of a routine and step out of our comfort zone. I had mixed feelings at first for these pants.  I've immediately liked the distinctive fit, the colour, the details in relief and the lace hem but I couldn't clearly  figure out what I should pair them with. The solution came from the shoes! ;) When I received them, I indeed thought that their shade would brighten up the one of the pants and would call for a top of the same colour. In the midst of a 70's trend revival, my blouses have never been so alluring, and the print of this one is particularly flattering for the pearl grey of the bottom. Harmony is sometimes to be found in the detail! ;) A pair of metallic socks and I can wear these marvellous stylish booties right nowand brave the seasons! ;)
